Father and Child Everyone is addicted to their morning cup of coffee, but a new study may just make you think twice before drinking up. A new study has revealed that coffee, which is everybody’s favorite brew, may reduce one’s ability to father normal children.

Bradford University and California University studied males with no fertility problems aged 22-80.

Drinking just three cups of coffee a day is thought to damage sperm and lead to failed pregnancies or birth defects.

The scientists who worked on this study said, “Independent of age, men with substantial daily caffeine consumption have increased sperm damage.”

“Three cups of coffee a day creates damage leading to chromosome rearrangements in the embryo. This can lead to the death of the embryo and birth defects,” lead author Dr. Andrew Wyrobek said.
