By now everyone know that fizzy drinks like colas are no good for one’s health. Fizzy drink addicts had better watch out as researchers in Sweden have warned that drinking two cans a day could increase the risk of developing pancreatic cancer by ninety per cent.
The Swedish researchers also say that the risk is seventy per cent higher for people who add sugar to drinks at least five times a day.
The findings are the result of 80,000 men and women conducted between 1997 and 2005. In this group itself, 131 people developed pancreatic cancer.
However, this is not a high enough figure for the results to be truly conclusive. Hence further research will have to be carried out.
